We don't consider seniority (or youth) as a qualification. When we are looking for new teammates, we look for the very best candidate for the job—no matter their age. For clarification: We do value and regard experience—but the same applies for potential. In the end, it's a holistic evaluation—not based on any single criteria.

We pay fixed and variable salary components designed to grant everyone a fair share of our joint success. Our compensation is based on (and paid by) the added value to the team and company by serving our customers and users.

Our fixed or base salaries reflect the expected outcome of your work. They are based on the specific role (e.g., in design or engineering) and your projected proficiency (i.e., how you master your role and maximize your outputs). In any case, we never regard individual outputs alone but always consider your contributions to the joint team output.

Our incentives and loot (bonus) system then rewards your actual results. This includes your individual and team outputs, the quality of your results, the efforts you've put in, and how you have grown and developed.

In short, your total compensation rewards anything that adds value, helps us induce positive impact and enriches life at Yatta, especially when you go above and beyond expectations.

For the time being, we do not offer fully remote positions.

However, we offer a comprehensive relocation package to candidates who are willing to relocate to Frankfurt or Kassel, Germany. For more details about remote work and relocation, read the FAQ sections below.

There is no strict remote work policy at Yatta. We do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach—each team of 4-6 finds its local optimum.

However, in general, we are available on site—at least during regular working hours. That's how we foster and facilitate collaboration and teamwork, but also our Yatta spirit. Still, flexibility and responsiveness belong together. Each of us has a life beyond Yatta and if there's a reason, it's fine to work from home. This applies to everyone from time to time, even at short notice if something urgent comes up. In certain cases, we can also discuss a longer period. In return, when push comes to shove: we're all in. We have big plans, our objectives are not a matter of course, and mistakes happen. That's why we need all hands on deck—and that also means pitching in.

Either way, it's important to us that everyone is on the same page, especially when it comes to balancing our individual responsibilities and wishes. Therefore, we try to be there and approachable for each of our teammates. That goes for everyone at Yatta.

Absolutely! We understand that relocating can be a challenging process, so we offer a comprehensive relocation package to candidates moving to Kassel or Frankfurt, whether you're from another city or a different country.

Our relocation package includes both financial support and personal assistance:

  1. Financial Support: We provide a monetary contribution towards your relocation costs. This contribution covers your travel expenses, initial accommodation costs, and any visa or authority-related fees incurred during the process. This financial support is up to the maximum income tax-free allowance, helping to alleviate your financial burden.

  2. Personal Assistance: Our commitment doesn't stop at financial support. We also offer personal assistance to ensure your smooth integration into your new home. This includes helping with paperwork, administrative tasks, and navigating the local bureaucracy. For our international employees, we extend this support to include finding suitable housing and arranging German language classes to help you feel at home more quickly.

At Yatta, we firmly believe that a smooth transition paves the way for a successful journey. Hence, your comfort and ease during relocation is our priority.

Most companies assume that people are replaceable, like parts on a product line. We don’t. Everyone matters to us. Hiring is all of our responsibility at Yatta, not an HR to-do. That's why you get interviewed by the team.

  1. After a short video or phone call, we will invite you to an in-person interview starting with an office tour.

  2. You will have at least two interviews with two team members. Usually, one of them would be on your team and the other would become your lead.

  3. After each interview, we will exchange feedback and discuss the next steps. If it clicks, we will make you an offer in writing.

Usually, the whole process takes less than a month, but you set the pace. We won't rush you or leave you in suspense. We regard recruiting as something mutual. And we'll take the appropriate time to familiarize you with us, our work and culture as well as the team and co-founders.

Of course! Just return the expenses form with your receipts—and you will be reimbursed in full. Getting to know us should cost you nothing but the time you invest. We'll give our best to make it worth your while, no matter the outcome.
