About the event
Organized by heise conferences, OOP has brought software architects, developers and IT leaders together every year for 35 years. Its 2027 theme, "Beyond the Hype," asks which new technologies, AI among them, work in practice. Over four days, more than 120 talks, keynotes and workshops in English and German run in up to seven parallel tracks, from AI-native architectures and agentic systems to digital sovereignty and testing. Software vendors and service providers exhibit alongside the program.
For 2027 the conference moves to a new venue, the Science Congress Center Munich on the research campus in Garching, with the U6 stop Garching-Forschungszentrum right outside.
